  • Help me Check a Bug

    Hello,

I recently moved to 4.52 and have noticed some strange behavior in multicam.

So I am asking if anybody could try this setup and let me know if this happens to you.

    1. Create a new project with two VA layers, then one V layer then another VA layer. So four layers total.

    2. Then bring in video for for the first two layers stacked up like a multicamera shoot.

    3. Add a clip or still on the third layer somewhere in the middle of the video.

So you should have two layers of video and a clip on the third track which is over the two layers, but not at the beginning.

    4. Now, make a few camera switches in multicam on the first two layers and stop palyback, then see what happens.

    5. Ctrl-Z the cuts and move the single clip to the fourth layer (VA layer).

    6. Repeat the fourth step by making a few switches, stop playback and see what happens.

When I make the camera switches, a cut is made on the first two tracks where the extra clip is placed. This happens upon stopping playback.

But, this only happens when the extra clip is on the Video only track. The VA track does not make this happen.

    Thanks for your help.

      It is happened on both.
      c1 on 1VA - video clip at 00:00:00
      c2 on 2VA - video clip at 00:00:00
      c3 on 3V - video clip at 05:00:00
c4 on 4VA - no video clip on first test.

First test - made couple camera switches before 05:00:00
Stopping play back - a cut was made on first two tracks at 05:00:00

      Second test (after Ctrl-Z) - moved video clip from c3 (3V) to c4 (4VA)
made couple camera switches before 05:00:00
Stopping play back - at cut was made on first two tracks at 05:00:00

        Thanks for your test.

Tech support could not reproduce the behavior on their systems.

Hopefully we can get some more tests here to sort this one out.
