Timecode not lining up in multicam

Hi all:

I am working with a multicam shoot (actually just 2 cams) -- both with timecode synced from an Ambient lockit box.

However, when I drag in the clips into a multicam sequence (using Timecode as the Sync Point) the 2 cameras are off by a few frames. I am sure the timecode was jammed correctly.

What am I doing wrong?

Sync error

I always sync from camera to camera, but if for some reason the sync failed I just figure out by how many frames it is off and compensate. The sync will fail if the camera is turned on before the sync source.

try the match frame method (Ctrl+F)

1. place cam1 clip on timeline
2. place cam2 in source player and play a second or two then pause and mark in, then press Ctrl+F
3. the timeline playhead will jump to the same TC position as the in point in the source player
4. drag the clip from source player to timeline playhead position on track above cam1
