  • EDIUS 7 Shipping Now!

I received an email from GV today:
"Grass Valley® is now shipping the latest version of EDIUS® PRO 7, the acclaimed nonlinear video-editing application."

I have downloaded and installed the trial. Can I purchase an "upgrade from 6.5" key direct from GV to activate the trial version?

Grass Valley won't be selling direct anymore (thanks)
You need to buy from a re seller (like me)
Please note. The email may have said it is shipping, this means it is available from Japan only. The Australian stock has not left yet.
    AMD Ryzen 9 5950X, RTX 3080, 64GB RAM, EDIUS X WG.

Any news on upgrade pricing from 6.5?
Just purchase 6.5 on April and not eligible for free upgrade... :(

Looks like the trial also the full version, since no update on trial version

look at a reseller with your confidence .... he should answered the question in detail to the price in $ or Rupiah (IDR)

Hey GV need some marketing help? It's nuts that ithe user population receives emails telling us the next release is shipping when it's not. I haven't seen a price anywhere!?! Basically we have a prerelease beta test...not that that hasn't been done before....If I load it I am uncertain of the upgrade costs, heck I'm not even certain that if I was on a project on day 30 that I could buy the upgrade to finish. Thus to the timid the prerelease tease isn't so effective.

Don't get me wrong, I think it will be awesome and probably would have shelled out an upgrade site unseen. I think the huge problem with this approach is we can't have more than one version installed.

I know the guys here have swappable hard drives et al but sorry I don't have that kind of time.

Meanwhile I'm looking forward to maybe a September release.

I wouldn't advise using a trial version of anything to do a real 'for pay' project.

I bought my 6.5 upgrade on the 22 July. Went to the link on the GV site today and applied for the upgrade to 7. So we will see what happens.

Yeah.. the June free upgrade feels like a kick in a butt for me right now..
I think is bit more fair if GV gave free update for people buy their software in this year... I know they need money support for the development, but come on the 6.5 is not released very long and now we need to pay again for the 7...
maybe after 7.1 they charged again for 7.5 :X

Does anyone know if they will still do fixes/patches on the 6.5x verison? Right now I don't see any advantage for me in V7 and I don't really want to put out the money.
