I searched but couldn't find this. I have footage that was shot while there was a very small white dust spec on the lens. It's not too noticable until the spec is in front of a black object. Is there a quick and easy way of masking this without having to painstakenly apply a motion tracking filter? I have hours of this footage. Thanks!

If your camera moves much, you're in trouble...
Make any color correction first.
Ctrl+Drag to copy your original clip to a track above.
Apply 3DPnP to the upper clip.
Set the Scale to 100%.
Disable Light/Shadows.
Use Crop to isolate the problem spot.
Use Position to place it correctly.
Add Soft Border to blend the edges.
Now color correct your patch to remove the speck.

Yeah, the camera was shooting dancing couples and moving slowly back and forth. I'll try your fix though. Thanks!Comment

I had a pixel on the camera block go bad on me a couple of years ago. I opened up TitleMotion and placed a period over the bright pixel. I made the color gray, maybe a little lighter or darker depending on the background. For a soft edge, just put a 1 pixel gray glow around the period. Worked great.
