How about putting your system specs in your signature so we know what you are using. This helps rule out or consider hardware as an issue.

The mouse can be moved around but the Clips in the bin are not responding to it.
I cant drag and drop them to the timeline. I have to restart.

If you have multiple monitors, check if there is a prompt on another screen.
Also Alt-Tab to see if there is a prompt that is hidden behind another window.

Hi! No there is no prompt - i can open and cut Clips in the source Monitor.
I tried different situations. ITS only mpeg2 where this Problem occures. Is it possible, that my mpeg2 codec is damaged. Where can i find it or how do i replace it. whats the best mpeg codec or is Edius providing ist own codec for mpeg2????

did you by any chance install 3rd party codec packs, that can cause strange things like that

EDIUS has its own mpeg codec unless some other pack has overwritten it

no i dont have codecpacks installed. What is the best way to delete edius completely off my computer?
Maybe i damaged something by installing edius 7 and 6.5 again.

you should not have EDIUS 6.5 and 7 on the same PC

here is how to remove and the folders to delete

                        Solution!!!
After hours of tests i found out, that a vst plugin is incompatible with edius.....

LoudMax64.dll It was a nice compressor, but it is useless!!!

                        Puhhh

I keep getting a lot of freezing with both 6.5 and 7......never had this crap happening.....further more, I am seeing 3 instances of Quicktime running....never saw that before either....is ther something wrong with these later versions of Edius.....this is driving me crazy, freezing , forcing me to do a closure via the task manager....this is not good...

I find 7.51 the most stable EDIUS I ever used

multiple instances of Quicktime player are normal with EDIUS7
