That's why I mentioned "Layout tool" just in case and not just the shortcut :)
You must've seen it before.

Yes. I said it was version Pro 3.3.
But that's OK. I figured the shortcut had changed. No biggie. ;>)

Careful folks, the downside to customization is that F4 might be one thing to one person and something completely different to someone else!
Always best to point out the specific feature, as was done here.

My F7 doesn't open Layout. Alt+L does.
It looks like that's exactly what I need. I just wish there was tutorial on what all of the particlulars mean. I made the adjustment in the left screen and it looks like it works.
Appreciate your help.

Either hit F7 or right click on a clip and select Layout about 2/3 of the way down

OK. I can't find the layout tool. I have version Pro 3.3. Thanks again for the quick reply!
(Edit) Never mind. I just found it. I'm going to try it out. Thanks.

Layout tool > select clip > Press F7 on your keyboard :)
This is good if you want to zoom in specific areas and fill the whole screen.
Now if you wanted a transparent video clip with cropped sides, then you need to use 3d PinP.

Need to crop a clip slightly
I have several clips that I need to crop about 1/2" from the top of the shot. Is there a way to do this in Edius? I've used After Affects before but that introduces a digital zoom artifact that is very obvious. Even if I have to crop from all sides that is OK too. But I can't have a black or color border around the footage . . . it needs to fill the screen. Thanks!Tags: None
