Brilliant! it worked. I selected the complete timeline using your suggestion and all of a sudden the Export icon lit up. I never had encountered that problem before. Thanks a million, my project will be on time.

Did you put your out before your in point on the time line by accident?

Select the timeline. Press z and now do the export.
Report what happens and we can look at the next steps

few questions:

1 what is your timeline format
2 what is your exportsetting ( what format are you trying to export to?)

Just upgraded to 4.5 last week or so. All of a sudden a project that I am working on can't export! The export icon is greyed out. I can run the timeline out to a DVD recorder from the video output bay on the front of the computer. Have deadline in about 2 hours!!!
