  • Information Palette

If I apply an effect to a clip the setup dialog appears in the information palette. If I then select another clip then go back to the clip with the applied effect the setup dialog is no longer listed in the information palette but the effect is still applied to the clip?

Is this a glitch or do I have something setup wrong?

How else can I access the setup dialog for the effect?

For those who helped me previously with the slow response question, closing the audio mixer fixed the problem. Thank you.

    A clip has three parts

    1 V ideo
    2 A audio
    3 M ixer

clip on the top part that will bring up video filters
clip on the middle part that will bring up audio filters
click on the bottom part that will bring up keyers.

A search also would brought up the answer. :)

      Rick,

Lucky for all of us, this is not a glitch, and you may have actually answered your own question. Working on one clip, selecting another, then jumping to the original without selecting will show an empty Info Pallet.

SR is correct by pointing out that incorrectly selecting V/A/M tracks may also be what you are doing.

The Information Pallet only shows the condition within the V or A or M track of the selected clip. If the filter is on a clip it will flag the timeline clip with a blue line at the top of the clip.

RICK... are you selecting the clip? or are you just placing the controller over it?

If it is selected please make sure that you have selected the correct part of the clip like SR explained.

If you have selected the clip ad the right part of it then there is something wrong that we need to look at.
