combing clips on timeline

ok.......I have a project with about 40 clips on the timeline.....all clips make up 1 movie....I need to change speed of entire movie which is made up of the 40 clips........How do I combine all clips and make them 1 clip and then I can change speed of clip??? I hope this makes sense

create a new sequence
take the old sequence and drop it in the new one
the old sequnece will be treated just like an ordinary clip, so you can speed it up or what ever. cool huh?
