  • Exporting a sequence

I have a dance project with 4 performances and repeat items on a 2 camera shoot. Can I export a number as a sequence between in and out without making an MPG and use it in a different performance? Edius 6.5. I think in previous versions this was possible.

My question is. Can I export between in and out to look like a project that I can name and use in a different project and modify if needed. Shift B does not work on my system and Edit/ad sequence to bin does not make a file on the hard drive. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Can u not just copy and paste the sequence? Man I need to study the manual for like a hundred years I think. Been clawing my way through 6.5 since moving up from Neo a tut at time but there isn't enough time because I'm too old!

Me to. I have bin with Edius since Edius 3. the school of hard knots has a terrible teacher and wen I need help I don't have time to study manuals. My be my next endeavor will be easier thy call it retirement. but then what works hurts and what does not hurt does not work.

You have to adjust your way of looking at the situation.
Edius can not export a single sequence so that you can open another project and import that single sequence into that project.
When you open or create a sequence it is saved into the project folder and is stored with all of the sequences. When you want to import a specific sequence you have to import the entire project which brings ALL of the sequences into your new project.
Then you remove what you do not want to use and work from there.
This is really clunky, but it works.
Being able to import individual sequences has been submitted as a feature request, at least a few times.
                      See if this helps any:

Thank you Jerrry. This is exactly what I landed up doing. I just saw another tread on this from a different angle. I have not tried it but it sounds doable
