I am looking to build/buy a new PC to run Edius 4.5 and an old DVStorm2 I have bought. I currently use an Athlon 64 3500+ with 1 GB of ram. I am looking to create MPEG for DVD (or actual DVD from timeline) in as close to realtime, preferably better than realtime (with procoder 3 / direct from edius timeline). I was thinking of a quad core or xeon processor with 3 GB of ram (obviously 2 drives). Any suggestions on graphics cards or systems that members are using with edius and DVStorm 2 and getting real-time results? Am I being too unrealistic in my expectations? Thanks for any replies and for taking the time to read my post. I am not interested in creating HD video at the moment. Also does Edius DVD Creator allow for motion video background/ moving video thumbnails in its menus?
