Multicam Question

is there any way to keep the audio meter on the output monitor (main screen i guess) when you are editing in multicam?

As far as I know, there isn't. You need to drop out of multicam mode.

I could be great but I wonder how usefull it would be.

Multicam is for switching with the emphasis on video.
Most of the time you have one main audio track

I guess people can use it different.

i detach the audio files and keep them separate from the video files. some of the talking heads i shoot have two individuals lav mics.

when mixing/choosing which to use it would be a help to be able to see the audio meter....

That is the point I try to make.
You can do that when you're done cutting your video.

And it is better to have mapped audio
Because you have
1 full track of lav 1 name track person x
1 full track of lav 2 name track person y

It is really simple when person x talks track is is active when person y talks track y is active. ( sometimes you need both to be active)

I still don't get why you would do audio in multicam? Most people do audio mixing in normal mode.
