  • No sound from initial audio tracks

I recently upgraded to Edius 6.5. See my hardware setup below. The audio is confusing me compared with Edius 5.51.

My project is a photo montage with photographs and separate audio tracks.

The audio file is stereo 16bit, 48kHz wav.

The channel mapping is stereo for VA and audio tracks.

When I initially drag audio down to audio track 1,2,or 3 there is no sound. If I delete these 3 tracks, then add a new audio track, the audio plays back fine.

I can play the audio files in the player window and I can move the audio track to a VA track and it plays fine.

I have tried various combinations of channel mapping, but the only thing that works is deleting the original audio tracks and adding a new audio track.

If I load a video file with audio, the VA track plays fine, but if I map the audio to an audio track, there is no sound.

Any suggestions other than deleting, then adding audio tracks as required?

        Audio Setup in Profile

OK. I finally figured out what I was doing wrong.
The project preset channel mapping must show stereo (or mono) for each audio/AV track.

I did not have any mapping selected for my A1 in the original presets.

        Thanks for all assistance.
