I just discovered that Edius still is not completely handling alpha channel correctly, although it has improved over the versions ...
When importing an image sequence with an alpha channel, IF that sequence begins with an object(s) filling the entire frame, and thus no transparent areas, Edius does NOT see the sequence as having an alpha channel. This is incorrect, because alpha channel information IS there, it is just indicating that at that particular moment there are no transparent areas.
I do not believe this happens with AVI w/ alpha clips, but will double-check.
Has this perhaps been fixed in 6.5?
