Why did the title on one of my posts change from title I submitted for post?

Why Can't we use All Caps in Title? It makes it so much easier to read.

The forum automatically removes any instance of 'Shouting'.

Posting/typing in all-caps might seem appropriate to you, but to the majority, it is an eyesore.

I'd suggest that if you are having trouble reading, try using your web browser software's zoom functions, or look into the 'Accessibility' options of your Operating System

CAPS in Title make for easier reading. I prefer to see caps. That is much different than in text.

I think it has to do with the Lime Green color. I have to be honest, white would be preferrable to me. For some reason green is annoying to me. You don't have to appeal to gaming demographics.

Also, it is a hassle to copy and past important posts to Word with reversed (white) text.

The question was also about how the text in the title changed. Are you changing Titles manually?

No, only on posts in the Moderated Threads. (though we can change any thread title if it breaks the rules)

The de-capitalisation is automatically done by the forum software.

Bob, why all in caps? Maybe it's easier for "you" but I for one despise titles in all caps so why not do it the way that everyone else is happy? You're not the only one that uses this forum.

As for copying and pasting into word, just open notepad, copy the text, paste it in notepad, then select all in notepad and copy that...then paste it into word.

I find myself agreeing with this - I find the forum colours hard on the eye and distracting from the content.

I'm not too keen on the colors either, but the request to type in all caps is not that great.

I am not sure that changing the colors of the forum is a option right now.

It has been set up with the approval of the people in charge and changing it would take some approvals and work.

I can and will discuss it with the other mods but please realize this is probably the look and feel we are using.

a): Posting/typing in all-caps = loud crying = more appropriate for a "gambler blog\chat" as for a respectable NLE forum
Exampel: cry with all-caps letters at a Avid-forum ...... you will harvests much harder words from the usergroup,
as the friendly statement from the GV-moderator on this site.........

It really is hard on the eyes and well known that colours as used in the old forum ie light shades are better at resolving issues causing eyestrain.

As Kenneally noted, most people consider all caps to be annoying in most situations. It's the written equivalent of shouting, and should be avoided.
