Happy weekend, all. Trying to get from an HD timeline to a good looking SD DVD transfer is not an easy task. So I ask for you guys who do it all the time to suggest the best method.
MY EDITING:
EDIUS 3.6
Capture .m2t file
With Procoder Express - convert to HQ .avi
Open new project: Settings Generic OHCI output, HDV 1080/60i
Load .avi HD's onto timeline
Change Project settings to DV Storm-RT output, DV NTSC 16.9, 48K
Edit my little heart out.
Change setting back to Generic OHCI output, HDV 1080/60i
add titles, SPX
Render timeline
NOW: Procoder Express to DVD GOP files? - or
Change Setting back to DV Storm first (retitle) and Procoder Express
to DVD GOP files - or......??????
IF I want to end up with a first rate 16x9 SD DVD - what's the best way? DV Storm adds a softness to the DVD - also jaggies.
OHCI is sharper, but jaggies are really horrible. (1080 to 720 - yuk!)
Any suggestions would be more than gratefully accepted.
Thanks,
Alan
