AVAST is my choice after I tried all the rest out there. Kap...anti-virus is a VIRUS the WORST ONE and you can NOT uninstall it from your system. I had to reformat the HD and it was still there where format did not work if you can believe that. They finally sent me a special uninstall program to get rid of that monster. Kap... slowed down my system that I could not open or run anything and there was NO WAY to stop it in Windows. It just went on scanning everything for hours and could not be interrupted or cancel or anything.

None of the paid program is worth it... AVAST has a free version and using it for years and never had a problem.

It's too bad Edius 6(plus) will not open unless I shut off the anti-virus until it's running, then I can turn it back on. However, Edius becomes non-responsive and crash but I have no clue why.... regardless of anti-virus being on or off.
    Running Win-7 with E-6.5

      Funny, I had a "Sym"-ilar experience...

That taught me to never to install the network threat protection component...

Same here, Brandon. Some years ago Norton kind of killed a customer's network.
