Huge Problem!! Please Help...

hi, i have edius 6 on windows 7
theres plugins on my edius: adorage & vitascene
it all work great but somehow i cant save any presets and prefences on edius
when i exit the edius it reset himself and i lost all my recently presets
plus when im openning the edius (in recent projects) i cant see my last project, i see old projects...
im desperate!!
my technical support tell me to format the whole computer
but i just cant right now

First update to the attest version of Edius. Either 6.08 or 6.52

Try to create a new profile. Once you have that created close Edius and restart it. Select the new profile and then delete the old. Now set up all of your parameters in the new profile. See if that works.

did you (or anybody else) installed in your machine some app like deepfreezer?

i understand that some people believes it is the 'best' tool to avoid changes in the system... and it is... but it really means ANY changes... including presets and alll... everytime you restart the machine it forgets all you made to the system... maybe it is the reason...

Where are your project default directories ? You may have more than one if you upgraded and Edius is loading from one directory but you are saving to another so never see what you have saved when you open the program again.

but any projects is saved in difrrent folder...
i dont really got what you were trying to say
but the reason this problem is wierd to me, its because is suddenly happen
and i worked the same way before that problem
and every thing was smooth
but i tought this problem is not new... i guess iwas wrong

By default Edius will set its own default drive if you do not specify on install. Since I set my default drive to my Temp drive "E" I have default directories for Edius 5, and Edius 6 on that drive though of course Edius 5 is not on the PC anymore. I believe that if you let Edius load its own choice for default it would be on the boot drive. So I was suggesting that if you upgraded and then loaded a file from a previous project you may then save to a different default directory. That is why I asked if you know where all the default directories are on you PC and where the files are loaded from and saved to. As an example I can load a file from my Edius 5 default directory and save to the Edius 6 default directory. If I then open again from the Edius 5 directory none of the changes will be there since they are only on the saved version in the Edius 6 default.
