I admit that sync mode is a well hidden but important tool that deserves its own unique button
-
Thank you Anton. I've found it.
In Edius 4.51c, there is no directly button sync mode like 4.03, but it is necessary to click on the arrow “to go down” from the Insert button, and then indeed there is the sync mode.Attached Files

you need to enable sync mode, it is a hidden option
here is a screenshot from an older version

I've tried with insert mode (shortcut insert) ON of OFF. I've tried also with ripple mode (shortcut R) ON of OFF. And combination of both. No way.
The only trick is to select the all tracks on the right and then to move the tracks.

More would know about it if it had a visible button of timeline flag.

I noticed that alot of people have the same issue -- they have no clue what the Sync mode is. I think it should be a button, or just be on by default when you install a fresh copy of Edius.

also, go to application settings and make sync mode the default and turn off ripple mode, this will then be applied to all new projects

Enable Sync. It's next to the Ripple button in a small drop down menu.

Shift + Alt
Hello,
In Edius 4.03, shift+alt shortcut made it possible to shift all the elements on the right cursor of EACH track towards the right-hand side or the left. In the version 4.51c, shift+alt shortcut shifts only the elements of the selected track. How to make to again shift all the elements with the version 4.51c?Tags: None
