  • Render timeline before export HQ file?

This might be a silly question, but Im trying to save some time here. I have always rendered the timeline before exporting the HQ file. I then take the HQ file in Tmpgenc to make my dvds.

Are you supposed to render the timeline or does it do it automatically when I export to a HQ? I did a search but couldn't find a exact answer.

    It renders on the export.

If you render first, the export will go much faster but since you have to wait for the render time - you don't save any time and it's useless. Just exporting will render and export together. (Although, since Edius is already rendering, I would have liked it if after the export, the timeline render bar would turn green).
