Consolidate with sequences

Consolidate has some bugs at the moment which make it not reliable to backup critical projects.
The information I got is that work is being done to iron out those problems.

I did it once with a DV project with 3 sequences, it works but a few rendered "shift Q" got deleted from the other sequences, but I had no time to trouble shoot so I just reshift Q them.

Has anyone successfuly used the Consolidate function on a project that has a lot of nested sequences in it? I would like to be able to consolidate a large project and also copy the actual files used on a timeline (and the associated files with the nested sequences). I tried a quick test and it only exported what was on the actual project timeline and none of the actual sequence files.
