  • Can´t import MPEG-4 (mov)

    Hi!

Now I´ve tried several players inclusive Quicktimeplayer and Windows mediaplayer. I can´t open the videoclips I have.

    I´m using Edius V.5.5.

Information about the clip from Mediainfo: MPEG-4 (Quicktime), Intermediate Codec (Apple)

    I have a PC.

Can you help med with a link to codec that will work?

    Thanks. Johan in Sweden

Can you use media info load the file and take a screenshot in tree view?

Do you now how the file was created?

the apple intermediate codec is for Final Cut

not even QuickTime player will play them

VLC player (free) may play them and allow you to convert

if you upload a 1 sec clip to some file sharing place, I can test it in other software and let you know what works

                  Hi!

I tested Prores. It comes in a format ".dmg". I Cant open it? But it seems to contain some "Apple intermediate" codec.

                  Do you have any tip?

                  Johan

Running Edius 6.5 trial now - test

Now I can import the file to the trial program 6.5 (I normally use 5.5). I can import the file but the editing window is filles with black/white squares.

I guess, the codec is still missing.

I tested your intermediate codec file, it can't be played in any software I have, not even VLC player or T5, not even apple QuickTime player

typically, what can't be played in QT player, can't be played in EDIUS

Thanks Anton! A friend to me uses a Mac and Premiere. He can edit the video in his computer. I also tried Premiere but it didnt work.

This is very strange. Thanks anyway! Have a great day.

If I remember right, Procoder 3 can import Apple Intermediate.
