My observation is that GoPro Hero2 HD does not do well in moderate and poor light situations. And the audio draws a vacuum. But it has its place. (Typical indoor weddings are arguably not one of them.)

The fisheye can be removed quickly. I plan on getting the Hero 3. It will record at 2.7k at 30fps and 1080 at 60fps. Low light performance has been improved as well as the lens. I am sure it is not as good as a $4000 DSLR, but for $400 it will do fine. It also comes with an underwater housing with a flat port.

using it is another game, i saw a lot of users feedback when i had trouble with mine,

buy a gh3, you could change the lens lol

Actually, 4k is 15fps. That is not what I am after. It has an improved lens on these, with width settings. The fisheye is easily removed and there are the different color palettes for higher frame rates. Plus it has a
197ft depth rating on the housing with a flat port. Also, what I am interested in. It is an extra tool in the tool box. This is not a main camera by no means.
