Firewire capture

During capture have deck control via firewire but no image or video is captured.
Playback from timeline plays on deck monitor with audio/image via same firewire,
What changes do you recommend to make the software capture video correctly.
Firewire driver was changed to legacy 400.

which EDIUS version?

did you make a correct capture device preset to match exactly what the device outputs?

if the device outputs DV, you need to make a Generic DV preset
