  • Recovering from some dark footage HOW?

    I have shot a small ptc and my second camera was found to be underexposed is there any easy way to add light :-0 in EDIUS 5.51 sure there was a little tutorial on here - Ive tried a few little tweeks with filters But it starts to look washed out......maybe its another application needed?

    Which Filters have you tried
    Did you try YUV ?

        I have tried the YUV curve lately and found it to be good in many instances.
        It depends a lot on the footage as to what works best.
        When the footige starts looking washed out a bit of contrast usually helps.

          And I agree wholeheartedly. It's not always the best answer, it depends on the footage, but tricks like this are nothing short of miraculous for recovering the occasional shot you thought you'd never be able to use.
