  • Java update fights with Edius 6.5

Just as I was completing an edit in Edius 6.5 there was a pop up about a Java update. I dismissed the update marking it for "later". However, I immediately found Edius to be very slow to respond. I rebooted with no change - still extremely slow to respond. However, after I allowed Java to complete the update, everything went back to normal. Apparently Java does demands attention and does not "play well with others".

I am strongly considering disconnecting from the LAN (Internet) for all editing sessions.

    Just sharing.
