  • Audio automatically going to audio track

I dont know if this is new in Edius 6 but I havent come across this in prior versions. When I lay down video on the 1VA track the associated audio also is layed down on the audio track which I dont need since its already on the VA track---when you attempt to delete the audio from the audio track both the video and audio are deleted..-I guess it defaults to this setting but how do I disable this so the audio is not automatically layed down on the audio track as well?
    Thank you

It has always worked this way in one form or another. It is all controlled by the small audio mapping patches (blocks) on the left side of the timeline. If it is already on the timeline, either type Alt G or click the Global Grouping button (top left of the track header) to unlink the clips. Delete the audio track you want, and then turn Grouping back on.
