  • Is it possible of 6.51 multiple installation

    Hi everyone!

I have been using 6.07 Edius with my home PC, office PC and laptop by passing my dongle usb key among them. However i upgraded it to 6.51 and i installed new software only on my home PC. Now, i want to install it at least on my other PC or laptop. Is it possible to install it? Is there any legal way to multiple use?

If not, in other way, what will happen if my current system collapse and what will happen if i'll have to format my drive C?

    Best wishes.

You have two copies of the license, so you can install one on each, but your are not supposed to use them concurrently. Basically the same rules as with the dongle.

The best way is to buy a USB disk and use it to store a copy of your system for recovery
with Windows 7 click start and type in "System Backup"
      Select "Back up your Computer"
      Select "Create a System image"
      Select the USB Drive
      Follow the prompts
When finished - make a system repair disk for booting the computer when all else fails
the backup on the USB disk can be renamed with relevent details
I make a rolling backup after program updates after making sure all is OK

      Hope that helps

creating a repair disk is a waste, I tested it and it takes forever then to restore the image because it takes too long for the process to start

when you need to restore from an image, simply boot from the Win7 DVD and withing 2 minutes, you can start the restore process
Creating and Restoring a Windows7 Operating System Image because of Virus, Hard Disk Failure or larger Hard Disk requirements

Because of my English, i'm asking to assert again; you said:

            * You have only two license number for your Edius Pro 6,5.
            * You can install one for your PC and other for your laptop or other PC. But;
            * You can't use both software at the same time.

            Is it true?

If so, this way is very suitable for me. My editing duties are different for PC and laptop.

            Best wishes.
