Is Fade a track thing or a clip thing?

Try this...

With a clip on the timeline,
1. Unlink the Audio (Alt-Y)
2. Select the Audio clip.
3. Click the Fade button.
4. The Video fades and the audio remains unchanged. Shouldn't the Audio fade?

Move the audio to an Audio Track and it behaves as expected. Other than this, Fade is a nice feature.

Automatic selection would be nice (on VA track),
but the way it works now is that you don't have to unlink to do the fade.
select the clip (av) and click on the triangle besides the fade button.
There are some option there to achieve what you want in one go.

Ok,
That does cover my issue.
But the button pulldown says "Unlink" (as if it will unlink something) and probably should read "Unlinked"
If your A/V is Linked and you chose "Unlink", nothing happens.

Still a great feature, I'll figure it out eventually.
