Capturing HDV Tape into Edius 6.5

I am slowly driving myself BONKERS trying to capture HDV tape from my PHDV-276DM large Tape.
I can capture Mini HD tape directly into Edius but not from my large tape.

I am using a Sony HVR-M25AU digital recorder.

My practice for years has been to copy my Mini HD tapes made from my Sony HDR-HC1 camcorder to the larger tapes to use as my editing tape.

Now I can capture tape into Edius from my HD mini tapes but not from my large tapes.

I have the same problem (mini-tape) with the E-5 version and win-7. It was OK with Win-XP machine that was upgraded to win-7 and now it won't see the tape.

Do a search on the forum for Anton, he has the link for the legacy drivers for it that you have to use on Win 7 I think.

are you certain that the large tapes contain HDV 1440x1080 NTSC interlaced? maybe when you dubbed the small ones to the large ones, a setting was different?

that is normal until you fix this Microsoft bug by yourself like this
Installing Legacy Firewire Driver to allow video capture in Windows 7 using Grass Valley Edius
