  • Exporting MXF

    Hi there,
    I export several files in MXF, so far no problem, the issue is that I need to export them to a machine on my network that has a linux system, and as such only reads MXF files with the extension in lower case, and not can see the extensions in uppercase. I wonder if the exportation of Edius is possible to select the extension in lower case, because I think the default is upper case
    thank you

    Maybe try just renaming the extension to lower case?

        You can use a batch renamer and do all the exports in one go.

          Will adding the extension (in lower case) as part of the name work? Not in front of Edius today so can't test.

          Failing that you might try setting up an automated task (cron job) on the target machine that renames the files within a specific directory for you ...
          $ rename .MXF .mxf *.MXF
          ... (or something like it) should do it.
