whatever is in the lowest position in the layouter, has highest priority, so if you want to add drop shadow, you need to drag the layouter below the keyer, this means the layouter only treats the keyed image instead of the whole image

or if you want to crop or size or position the greens screen image, its layouter needs to be below the keyer, otherwise you get the problem you were experiencing, does that make sense?

simply try and see the difference right away

drop shadow creation requires EDIUS 6.5 or newer

do not add a drop shadow if the keyed background is moving, viewers may think you lost your marbles, it will only look realistic if it looks like the person is standing very close to a still background

why?6.07 is not newer than 6.5?
if possible please create that clip because my friend has 6.5 and i can work on his system but i thought that 6.07 is newer

it is only a matter of dragging layouter to bottom position and enabling and fine tuning dropshadow

Click the Global Ungroup Button which will unlink the audio and video. Click on the audio clip. Hit Alt E. Set to 100% and make sure the box is unchecked.
