2. crop it off with the rectangle tool in the chroma keyer
by the way, you are not going to get a great key from that green carpetAnton Strauss

Really can't you look in the manual?
Press F1 when EDIUS is open.
You can search the manual to.
FYI Chromakey is under keyersLast edited by GrassValley_SL; 09-21-2012, 02:50 PM.

First off, you need to get a solid green or blue sheet. Get it as close to chroma key green as you can.
This is a google link for purchasing paint, or material.
https://www.google.com/#hl=en&sclien...=1920&bih=1053
Make sure it is flat...NO WRINKLES and NO TEXTURE.
Your current back ground has too much texture to it. It makes keying difficult. The Edius chromakeyer is rudamentary at best. It will do a good key if you have supplied everything that it needs. You haven't. So, you will need either Robuskey or After Effects to do this.
Here is your image with Robuskey and Layouter.
The reason it looks good is because it is a still. The video would be a pain.

You can download the trial here:

As for your mirror. Watch the video.

1. Replace your background screen before attempting any of this.
2. I gave you the link to a 30 day free trial of Robuskey..use it.
3. The Layouter is explained in detail in the manual starting on page 276.
4. All of this will depend on how well you do the chromakey.
5. Once you get the chromakey right, then copy that clip and put it above
your original key.
6. Apply the mirror filter to this second image
7. Now use layouter to adjust the positioning of the two clips.
8. Before doing anything, go and read the manual. Or, at least the sections that pertain to what you want to do. If you don't have the manual, go to the registered users section to download it.
From all of the questions in all of your posts, it is clear that you have not read the manual and you want the forum to tell you how to do things step by step.
You are not the only one using the 'internet learning method' here on the forum. It's a freakin' shame.
In the last year this has increased more than in the entire time that I have been on the Canopus/Grass Valley forums. I'm talking from way back in 1996.
Experimenting with any NLE is how you learn. You will retain what you experience much longer than if I tell you how to do experience it. Plus you may find a faster or better way for you than the method that I use.
There are many tutorials on YOUTUBE to help you learn things. The forum is not a training facility for Edius or setup for college classes of Editing 101.

Robuskey Tutorial:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_wpfSVF4FJk
http://www.videoproductions.com.au/h...-robuskey.html
I am willing to help....to a point..and I have done so. I have shown you what you can do and how it would look. I went the extra step to show you with a screen shot and a video. It is your job to try to replicate what I did. This comes from trial and error.
At least, give it a try.Jerry

Look at the screen shot:
Snap 5 layers.jpg
Here is a hint.
When using Robuskey with that background, use the alpha filter first and then key it with the green filter.
To remove the edges, go to page 276 in the manual and read about layouter and crop. You can also add a drop shadow to the image.
From your image, you still need to tweak those settings to get the texture out of the rug.Jerry
