6.51 crashes

Most of my project is large, so for ease of editing I batch convert my .mov DSLR footage to HQ AVI for ease of editing, but every since I got 6.51, every time during batch converted, I get at least 1 crash, either it said Edius encounter error or Edius just froze, anybody using the same work flow like me having this problem?

My first project in trying to render to MPEG2 elementary stream, crashed twice. I was downsizing from HD to SD using Anton's settings http://www.videoproductions.com.au/h...downscale.html .

Since it crashed twice, I tried rendering to Canopus HQ fine. Decided I'd have to downsize the old way with TMPGEnc master works 5. Rendering to Canopus HQ failed and edius crashed after an hour of 1.5 hrs of rendering.
