Replacemet for Asus p4c8oo Deluxe?
09-14-2007, 04:19 PM
I'm editing with Eduis 3.5 using Rex RT board. My Asus P4c8oo delux board just died. What new board is compatible with my rex card?
Thanks.

I've had good luck with Supermicro
I upgraded from that Asus board too. I decided to go with this board since it had the most 5V PCI (Qty-4):
PDSBE | Motherboards | Products - Super Micro Computer, Inc.
http://www.supermicro.com/products/motherboard/Core2Duo/965/PDSBE.cfm
PDSBE, P965
works great with Eduis 4.24 (and earlier).
Supermicro has some newer boards with 5V PCI but I can't vouch for those chipsets...
good luck!

FYI the supermicro board is for Core 2 Duo
I assume you are upgrading all of the components too? (CPU, RAM, PCI-E graphics).
If not, you will have to look for a compatible board if you want to recycle those components.
sorry for the confusion

If the OP wants to keep the RAM and graphics card (AGP?) then it's better to find the same mobo off ebay or something.
If not, Matt's way would be a good one.
