I purchased a crossgrade in December for $399, when I was told by a GV rep that owners of Edius 6 owners would receive a free dot upgrade to Edius 6.5. I didn't install Edius 6 until recently, because I was using the 3D trial.

Now, I need to know exactly what I need to do to upgrade to Edius 6.5. I thought I saw the directions, but now I can't locate them. I'm registered with GV.

Please PM me the Name and Email you registered with.

Either way if you have registered prior to July 10, you should have received either a fulfillment email or an error email from marcom.systems @ grassvalley . com

I answered your previous PM, so hopefully you followed that. No one here can do that other than Brandon.

@AevnsGrandpa: Not sure what the qualifications for the crossgrade are, to be honest.

@all: REMEMBER, in order to qualify for and receive the free upgrade to EDIUS Pro 6.5 for EDIUS 6.0 purchases, you MUST complete the upgrade request form at http://www.grassvalley.com/products/...-upgrade-terms

Simply registering your EDIUS product will NOT get you the upgrade!

And does that also cover crossgrades from MC? If they are through those who registered up to 7-10, I should be getting mine soon.....

If you are still able to find a 6.0x upgrade as most dealers don't have them in stock anymore, I managed to still get one almost 2 weeks ago and upgraded from 5.51 and yesterday I downloaded my free 6.5 upgrade after filling out the upgradeform and showing the proof of purchasing a 6.0x upgrade.

Just to be sure, I just did some raw cutting on a project (no effects, cc or whatever done, just plain cuts) in 5.51, is it a good idea to open this project in 6.5 and continue editing or should I finish it in 5.51 to be safe?
I would finish in 5.51 and never change in the middle of a project. You can make a copy of it and then try it in 6.5.

Please open a new thread with anything outside of the upgrade.
