E6.51 Stripe Transition seems to be broken

I use the stripe transition set to a constant of 75-80% with a "Soft Border" so that scrolling credits appear and disappear in the picture area

Works OK with a "Hard" border but once the "Soft border" is selected the centre area where the scrolling text would be dissappears
There are other ways to do it but this was real easy
Anyone else seen this

which titler?

remember vistitle has its own appear and disappear positions with soft edge control

Quick Titler, file on V track
I usually do it in Boris RED but sometimes for speed I do it in QT
The soft edges seems to upset it

I tested in QT and it works fine

you are talking horizontally moving text from right to left?

or vertically moving text from bottom to top?

For a quick test place a color clip above a video apply the transition and switch between the tme and palete in the transition control, the look reverses between either setting

I can see the change of look when switching between time and palette, but I am not sure what problem that causes, can I see a screenshot

1. I set my settings to 1 stripe and 50% softness
2. I go to time and set say 60% constant
3. I exit the settings window while in time mode
4. the settings stick and all looks normal

I will test and see how it used to work in older versions

Attached are 4 pictures of the problem using a RED clip to show what happens with and without soft edge

In the first set up window the timeline plays the clip
In the palete window the timeline varies the distance between the edges



I have also change Quick Time back to 7.7, Edius 6.51 placed 7.7.2 but has made no difference, will re apply 7.7.2

I still don't get the problem

the parameter timeline is a timeline for modifying and previewing effects parameters, such as "a transition starts with a hard edge and gradually ends with a soft edge"

the time effect timeline is for how the effect starts and ends, in my case I have it set to hold at around 50%

can you describe the actual problem upon exiting and playing the timeline, I am obviously missing your point somewhere

The first picture shows the required effect with a hard edge top and bottom

The second shows the effect with soft edges applied, all that is seen when the clip is played is the soft edges, the clip should look like picture 1 but with soft edge, not make the Red clip look transparent

I used the Red clip to I hoped make it easier to explain

If the Red clip is replaced with a scrolling title the title is eliminated
Hope that makes sense

Works perfectly in 6.07

when you said you had crawling text, I assumed you want to go right to left

had you said rolling text, I would have tested this option first :)

At least it is not my system, must be the fact i am too close to the Barossa, up / down and sideways almost looked the same

if I was in the Barossa, I would stop seeing problems all together and EDIUS would look better every day
