DON'T do it!. You have a very long project. There are many BUGS in 4.5*. Stay with your current version. Sept. 22 is not that long of a wait. After the
22nd, go for the 4.03 version. Much more stable than 4.5. Alot of us use TitleMotionPro. TM doesn't work in 4.5*. Search the forum re: 4.5 problems.
Been editing for 30 years and have learned the hard way to NOT change versions for important shows.

Ok, thanks for that info. On the other point about uninstalling 4.5 or reverting to my current 3.x version. Is that possible, or can they both be on the machine at the same time, but not running at the same time?

People have been able to revert to 4.03 or 4.24, but as Kenneally suggested, you should not count on being able to open a project that is saved in 4.5x in an older version. If you save the project in 2 different names and don't open one in 4.5x , that project should be fine if you have to revert for some reason.

The physical format of the project has changed substantially in the versions between 3.6 and 4.5 - you won't be able to open a 4.5 project in 3.6.

EP 3 project into EP 4.5
I have a break between projects and I would like to do the upgrade now from EP3.x to the new 4.5. My last project has a drop dead date of 22 Sept for the customer to come back and request any changes, but I would like to get the new software installed now. The project is about 1h40m long and includes 5 video tracks, 2 audio tracks and 2 title tracks. Can I expect any problems if I open the project in EP4.5?
Also, if I run into problems, can I uninstall the software and go back to my EP3x to complete the project? I intend to save the project in two different file names just in case so I can work it in the 4.5 or in the 3.x if I have to revert.Tags: None
