  • Burn to Disc DVD Burn only problem

Using E6.5 New clean install of Win7 and deep reformatted disk caddy no AV
When i try to burn disc using disc burner with write and create image ticked only the temp folder has any data on it,the image folder is empty no vob etc, the process stops after encoding, there is no update title 1 or navigation process. Using the same burner (LG) it burns Bluray ok its the same on a Pioneer DVD burner also
The burn to disc works ok in E6.07.
I have also reinstalled caddy to pre Win7 service pack1 just in case as this was the only change and its the same i can only asume 6.5 was always like this and it was the first time to burn

updated with further info on 15/7/12

Just on the chance bought a new burner allthough i couldnt see why it worked in 6.07 and not 6.5
I was right it wont burn with the new sata burner so i guess E6.5 is getting me nowhere

Hope so because i dont have to burn to disc to create it. Just create a folder and the image files are not created
If creating a disk the render dialogue disappears at 50% no error message
        I guess its a bug

            No firewall or defender
I follow the instructions of that great master down under !
Even reformatted HD to delete partition an d create that system reserved partition which was the only way i could get rid of
            info left by 6.5 demo

No windows worked but 6.5 wouldnt recognise the Licence hence the reformat with delete partition. At no time anything else stopped working
i could uniinstall as i have an image but i will wait to see if update will cure it
At present without plugins vistitle and no Burn to Disc its not much use apart from creating 3D mpg files to burn on 6.07 or Encore. My previous projects will include use of plugins
6.5 has caused me a lot of work with re formating the (non delete partition) way restoring image then with the new re formatted drive updating windows and all other software etc.

                PS it works with Bluray

                  Update for 6.51
No change still wont produce a DVD from a 1440 or any other TL
Used a successfull 6.07 where it works for tests even prduced a new project
something prevents the disc being reused so it must be trying something
Previous wrong burn speeed choices in 3D trial and 6.5 have been corrected but i didnt see it mentioned in release notes

                    just a silly question

is windows explorer open while you try and make an image and burn?

which drive is used as the EDIUS Disk burner work folder in detailed settings?

are you using a still menu, motion menu, no menu?

I am using for convenience the Desktop, have tried still menu (as supplied) and no menu
                          Update
The whole processs works if doing Bluray (checking the Compile Disc Image to folder option but not DVD
I am considering uninstalling Edius and start again (just Edius)

                          For info only
Yesterday i installed Nero Media Home 4 and although server was stopped and exit for anyone elses knowledge base it slows Edius startup to a crawl i have now uninstalled
