Re-Linking Media

I have a project which was finished, then the raid a "GRaid" died.
I have the media for the project backed up on another drive, is it posible to re-link the timeline to the new drive, there are about 60 files?
I cannot make the new drive the same letter as the old one...Long boring story!
Also if I had draged in the Sony EX3 files into Edius using Sony's clipbrowser as suggested in another post, would I be in a better situation?
I don't see how Edius would reconise the path if I used the Clipbrowser method?
The method is to open Edius and Clipbrowser select the files in Clipbrowser and drag them to the Edius bin.

Yes you would use the restore window.

Relink use folder and point EDIUS to the folder.
Then check if any remain offline and use restore File.

This way you have everything back.
It is very easy to do.

I am new to Edius, can you give a step by step description of what I need to do?
I have been banging around in the dark for an hour now!

Look on the infobar (timeline where you get information , all the way down) you will see the offline incator with number of clips.
Double click it and then the restore window will open.
From there it will be self explainatory.


Sometimes it helps to de-select "link only files that match.

As you say you are new to EDIUS I assume you have EDIUS 6. I have nothing to add to the above about restoring clips but I have had problems trying to relink to clips brought into EDIUS using the Sony Clip browser. I would always import using the EDIUS source browser, as I have not had problems relinking clips imported that way.
