  • Encore wants to Transcode all MPEG2 files from Batch Exporter: Why?

When I export to MPEG2 with Procoder Express from Edius 4.51 Adobe Encore 1.5 loves the video files and can burn them directly to disk. But when I use the Batch Exporter to create the exact same file (m2P), Encore wants to transcode them. Essentially my videos now have to be rendered twice!
Is there some setting I'm missing?
I'm using the Generic MPEG2 preset program stream, customized with 4.5 mbs data rate.

What's Segment Coding in MPEG Exporter Preset?

I found a setting in the preset called "Segment Coding". It was defaulted to "on". I turned it off and now Adobe Encore likes my mpeg2 files from Edius Batch Exporter. What is "segment coding"? Is anything bad going to happen because I turned it off?
