  • Questions about Alpha channels

I know I will be scoffed and mocked, but here goes....

I have a full motion graphic that has an alpha channel. Can I import it into EDIUS 5.51 with alpha intact and then export with alpha as well?

I have read former posts about creating alpha channels but I confess I'm still trying to learn the language of alha channels.

Hoping someone has some stellar advice. I need to import a file, then export from an EDIUS work station through NRCS to a K2 server for air.

Yes, I am consulting the manual as well but you may have a quicker solution.

    Thanks!

You can import and play. You will then have to create an
alpha matte for alpha retention on export.
Edius 6.x handles alpha a little better. Edius 6.5 has
already been announced to have full alpha handling.

Do a search for alpha matte. I have posted a couple of how to videos.
