Capture problem with clips

I have install edius 6. I make the same system settings with my old edius 4 to capture from my tape DV machine. So when I capture from this now the clips doesn't change when the camera tape change video scene in wedding and makes me all the time small clip.
example
edius 4 drop it one clip which is 08 sec in one clip
but the edius 6 makes me 4 clips with 02sec duration.
This is lucky number.in other clips make the duration 3sec or 7sec and etc....

What is the problem?i make wrong settings???
