  • Importing with ADVC110

Hi, new user here. I am using Windows 7bit Dell XPS machine with the Canopus ADVC110 connected via firewire. I also have a Panasonic AG-DV2500 connected via firewire to the front of the Canopus unit.

I'm editing in NTSC DV however, I don't see a selection for 29.97i. I also am not seeing video input through firewire to the ADVC110. All I see is a grey box.

    Am I missing something here?

Not clear to me from the post what you are trying to do? Capture DV video from the Panasonic?

What NLE or capture software are you trying to use?

Are you trying to capture from an analog video source fed to the 110?

Are you trying to use the 110 to convert a DV signal to analog video for an analog TV set or monitor?

    How is the 110 powered?

What do the 110 lights indicate?

Can I ask why the ADVC110 box? Why not connect directly to the computer from the Camera via firewire?

The Deck is not compatible with Windows 7, thank you Panasonic. I was told that they ADVC box just passes the firewire through to the PC so it won't work regardless.

Is this a case where the OP needs to install a legacy 1394 driver instead of the latest version?

See http://www.videoproductions.com.au/h...re-driver.html I'll bet this fixes your problem.
