  • Another NTSC to PAL issue

First, thanks to all that helped me out on the previous question of NTSC to PAL in Australia.

Now it comes up I have to produce disks for the UK. I know that is PAL, but don't know the specs to set the project settings for the UK.

Are all the PALs compatible with each other? I see B/G/H together, D/K together, I by itself, there may be other countries I have to produce these disk for-- any help would be most appreciated---- again, as always, Many Thanks!----Ed

      NTSC to PAL

Using Edius 6-- so then I can select SD PAL 720 x 576 50i 4:3 as the video preset and I would be safe for the UK----- and other PAL system countries?

this will work in all PAL countries, but make sure you set DVD Creator to dolby digital audio at 256 and don't use the EDIUS default of mpeg audio

also, is your project really 4:3? I thought 4:3 is dead by now?

          NTSC to PAL

The client had supplied the footage in SD at 4:3-- so kind of stuck there.
