My AC3 problem is with ProCoder3. I never tested v4.51c but I guess they both have the same AC3 code.

Yes this has been reported before. Maybe increase the volume in the project before exporting.

Just tried a forum search and cannot find it, but I am sure that you are not the first person to report this issue.

AC3 Output level from Edius 4.51c is low

    Greetings fellow users...

Using Edius Pro 4.51c, Canopus PC2, TMPENC AC3 plugin & DVD Lab Pro 2.28

I have a >3hr programme to 'capture' from DV and burn to DL DVD.

Normally I'd input from DV into Edius, then use standalone PC2 to create elementary video and audio streams, converting the exported WAV file to AC3 using TMPENC AC3 plugin. However because of the (>2Mb illegal) size of the final WAV I though I'd export AC3 from the Edius timeline and use PC2 just for the video.

However, I'm finding that the exported Edius timeline AC3 file is 6db lower in volume than the source (and an equivalent TMPENC AC3 file). I'm applying no filters, tweaks or adjustments of any kind, just exporting the untouched audio from the timeline.

Perhaps there's a setting buried somewhere that I aught to know about that keeps the AC3 output file at the same volume as the DV source, but if so, I can't find it!

Your suggestions and help will be gratefully received...

    Tim
