  • Adding Sequences Without Audio Tracks

    Edius 6.06.

I am working in sequenceA. (I also have sequenceB and sequenceC).

When I go and drag and drop sequenceB from the bin to my current timeline V track (in sequenceA), it adds the sequence but also adds a bunch of audio tracks down below in the audio track section.

I only want the sequence to show up in the video tracks and nothing in the audio tracks.

How do I stop the audio from being added? (I've never had this problem in the past so I must be doing something wrong.

    Thanks for any ideas!
    Sincerely,

    Mike Truly

    Check your Project Settings.
I have a feeling they include 4 or 8 channel audio.

After making changes to the Project Settings, make a new Sequence and see if your problem continues.

Nevermind. I figured out that I need to have the audio tracks in the sequenceB muted so they don't show up in sequenceA.

      Thanks anyway!

          Hi Mike,
There is also what I consider a bug when using drag and drop. If you use V and A tracks, Edius will only obey the audio mapping if you only drag your clip (with the mouse cursor) to the Video Track. If you allow the clip to drag all the way down to the Audio Track, it will bring down all audio channels regardless of your mapping.
