My bin is LOCKED?

As I was editing my latest project yesterday (on version 5.5) I suddenly found that my Bin was LOCKED and that everything in the bin, except for the original video footage, was gone. The Add File, Open and Properties buttons were blacked out and unusable.
I checked the other projects I have stored in the computer and their buttons are all okay; I can import clips, music, stills in all of them but not the project I am working on now.
Also, if I start a new project, those Bin buttons are functional and intact.
I get the feeling that I accidently mistyped something and locked the Bin. Is there a way to lock/unlock the Bin? I couldn't find anything in the manual.
I'm supposed to have this project out today, so I'm a bit desperate.

I'm not sure if this helps, but try to open this project via one of the backup files of your project ... perhaps an older version works ...

Sounds like EDIUS can't find something and has popped up the Clip Restoration dialog.

Turn on all your monitors to make sure it isn't waiting for a response somewhere you can't see.

Thanks Bart. I tried opening each backup file, all with the same result.
Brandon, I have both monitors up and except for Edius there is nothing else on either screen. Just program monitor on one, the Edius interface on the other.
I called Grass Valley Support a little while ago...still awaiting a response. I'll let you know what they find.

I agree with Brandon, it sounds like a dialog box is open somewhere. Go into View>Window Layout>Normal and see if you can see any boxes open behind Edius. Make sure the Titler is not open and shows in the task bar.

I double-checked both monitors and the only thing running is Edius...no QuickTitle windows, nothing.
It's just this one project (which I had to redo in new folder) and it appears I inadvertantly "locked" the Bin.
I just went through and hit Shift>QWERTY one at a time, then ALT>QWERTY, then CTRL>QWERTY. Though I did find some new shortcuts I still couldn't unlock that Bin.
Now that I've redone the project I would still like to figure this out in case it ever happens again.

could it be that you accidentally switched the bin to search mode? in which case, add file etc will be grayed out

Locked Bin

Anton, my screen looks similar to that sample you posted.
I looked through the Edius manual, searching for SEARCH BIN and didn't come up with much.
As you can see in the screenshot I posted, when I hit CLIP>SEARCH BIN I got what you see here. When I press INCLUDING CURSOR nothing happens.

I'm stumped.

it is best to set your bin to folder view, your current view will get you stuck with such issues as you experienced

left = folder tree, right = bin
