MXF Files and Avid Dekos....

We frequently import MXF files from Avid Deko into Edius. The uses are, for instance, fullscreen background animations in news pieces.

However, if I export an MXF file from Edius (v 5.51), my Avid Deko sees the file as 1920 by 1088, not 1080, and won't accept it. Edius reports it as 1920 by 1080.

Is there a method I can use to make certain the outputed MXF is 1920 by 1080 in other devices?

i find it an incredibly useful tool for checking every aspect of any file you may encounter, and it is free.
