I found it!! all I had to change was the Video overlay setting in the StormRT settings in the hardware settings menu.
I changed it from none to "lock/unlock".
All the rest of the program seems to be working fine with this adjustment, but if I find a problem with this, I'll let you know. but for the moment I can move on...
    thanks anyway guys!!

Are you certain any old graphics card drivers are gone. I would recommend uninstalling the drivers then running Drivercleaner to remove ALL traces of the drivers from Windows.
I have had lots of problems in the past which turned out to be down to mismatched files due to older files / reg entries still being on the system

Which settings do I have to change?
I tried changing some and then even rebooted my computer, but still it doesn't work.
Also I have some "M2P" files on my desktop and they have now the WMP icon. Does this have anything to do with it?
    thanks!

I remember getting this same advice from Torsten quite a while back when I had this problem and was beating my head against the wall when nothing else worked. It solved my problem and I would never have considered looking where he did.

Changing these settings seems to do something that the NVIDIA ForceWare drivers pick up, and it solved a problem I had over a year ago when I couldn't get Edius to display video -- it would only show a still image once the video stopped, or if focus shifted away from Edius.

  • capturing movie doesn't work with new graphics card

I bought a new graphics card for my editing computer. It's the MSI NX7600GS. Since I've been using this card, I can't capture any movies on my hard disk anymore.
Also if I want to look and play the movies, I was editing before, in the dual screen mode, the movie freezes. It shows only 1 image. it doesn't play.
I hear the music play in the background but the movie is still!
Is there anyone who knows this problem? and the solution to it?
    Thanks
